
The company launched the Apple Pencil (2023) on Tuesday as an affordable alternative to the company’s second-generation Apple Pencil model. The new stylus has a matte finish and a flat edge that can be used to magnetically attach to the side of last year’s 10th-generation iPad, as well as other iPad models with a USB Type-C port, such as iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini. It doesn’t support wireless charging or some of the advanced features found on the more expensive Apple Pencil (2nd generation).

Apple Pencil (2023) price in India is Rs. 7,990, the company said customers will be able to purchase the new model in early November. Students can buy the new Apple Pencil (2023) at Rs. 6,990.
The new Apple Pencil is cheaper than the Apple Pencil (first generation) and is priced at Rs. Priced in India, the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is priced at Rs 9,500. 11,900.

Apple Pencil (2023) specs, features
The new Apple Pencil features a USB Type-C port hidden behind a sliding mechanism on top of the stylus. While it does have a flat edge that can be used to magnetically attach to the side of modern iPad models that also have flat sides, you can’t charge it wirelessly like you can with the Apple Pencil (2nd gen), and you’ll still need to It pairs with the Apple Pencil using a cable.
Unlike the Apple Pencil (first generation), the new stylus supports Apple Pencil hover mode, which is present on the more expensive second-generation Apple Pencil but not on its predecessor. However, Apple Pencil (2023) does not support the pressure-sensitive feature available on the first- and second-generation Apple Pencil models.

Due to its lower price, the Apple Pencil (2023) misses out on some of the features available on the second-generation Apple Pencil. This includes support for pressure sensitivity and the ability to change tools with a double click. Also, unlike the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) models, you won’t get free engraving on the Apple Pencil (2023).
Apple Pencil (2023) is compatible with iPad Air (2020) and later, iPad mini (2021), 11- and 12-inch iPad Pro (2018) and later, and iPad (2022). According to Apple, the stylus supports Bluetooth and wired connection through the included USB Type-C port, measures 155×7.5 mm and weighs 20.5 grams.
