Apple Watch Series 9 was launched at the company’s recent “Wonderlust” event, which also included the iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch Ultra 2. Apple Watch Series 9 is available in two display sizes: 41mm and 45mm, and is made of aluminum or stainless steel. For the aluminum finish, the 41mm dial size wearable is priced at Rs. 41,900. While the stainless steel body of the same dial size costs Rs. 70,900.
For the 45mm display, the stainless steel body finish is priced at Rs. 75,900, while the aluminum finish is priced at Rs. 44,900. The Watch Series 9 has an aluminum body and is available in Midnight, Pink, (Product) Red, Starlight, and Silver, while the stainless steel exterior is available in Gold, Graphite, and Silver.
On the other hand, Apple Watch Series 8 GPS was launched in India with a starting price of Rs. The Apple Watch Series 8 Cellular is priced at Rs 45,900, while the Apple Watch Series 8 Cellular is priced at Rs 45,900. 55,900. Apple Watch Series 9 vs. Apple Watch Series 8: Specs
Last year’s Apple Watch Series 8 introduced GPS and cellular network options. It uses the S8 SiP with a 64-bit dual-core processor, as well as a W3 wireless chip and a first-generation ultra-wideband chip. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 9 is said to be 60% faster than its predecessor. It is equipped with the new Apple S9 SiP process and second-generation ultra-wideband (UWB) chip.
Both smartwatches feature an always-on Retina LTPO OLED display with up to 2,000 nits of brightness. In terms of battery, Watch Series 8 and Watch Series 9 are said to provide up to 18 hours of battery life, which can be extended to 36 hours in low-power mode.
Watch Series 9 features a “double-tap” gesture that allows users to perform a variety of actions, including answering or ending calls, stopping timers, or snooze alarms. It can also be integrated with HomePod. Among further specs, the smartwatch gets riding and hiking features, new watch faces and mental health support2 compared to the Watch Series 8 which offered SpO2 tracking, heart rate monitoring, atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection and ECG monitoring.
Apple Watch Series 9 runs watchOS 10, while Apple Watch Series 8 comes with watchOS 9. In terms of storage, the latest model offers 64GB of storage, while the Watch Series 8 offers 32GB of storage.
