ChatGPT launched last year and has become the world’s most popular artificial intelligence chatbot. Now, DS Automobiles, a subsidiary of Stellantis, has achieved new achievements in the field of artificial intelligence by integrating ChatGPT with its vehicles. With this, DS Automobiles becomes the first automotive company to integrate AI chatbot commands into its vehicles. Stellantis announced the achievement in a press release, also noting the necessary requirements for access functionality. Initially, ChatGPT will be available to the first 20,000 registered users.
in an official announcementStallantis revealed that DS Automobiles has integrated the ChatGPT AI chatbot with its vehicles to allow users to get accurate and instant answers. Artificial intelligence chatbots work similar to Alexa or Siri in cars. The company will initially start a pilot phase for the first six months, providing access to 20,000 registered users.
These users should use DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9 series cars equipped with the active DS IRIS system. To use this feature and talk to the DS IRIS system, users simply press a special button on the steering wheel and say “OK IRIS”.
If the first 20,000 registered users purchase the above-mentioned series of vehicles between October 19 and February 29, the integration of ChatGPT with DS IRIS SYSTEM will be available free of charge for six months. To activate the system, users can contact the DS service store. During the pilot phase, this integration is only available in Europe, including France, Germany, the UK, Spain, and Italy. The feature will be available in the national languages of all these countries.
