Chinese EV startups Xpeng, Li Auto deliver record cars in October

Beijing – China Electric Vehicle Company Xpeng and ideal car Both companies posted record vehicle deliveries in October, according to news released by the companies late Wednesday.

Xpeng said it had delivered 20,002 cars last month. This represents a significant improvement from dismal figures earlier this year. Nearly half of the vehicles delivered in October were the G6 coupe SUV launched by Xpeng Motors at the end of June.

The G6 is priced in the price range of approximately 200,000 yuan to 250,000 yuan ($27,340 to $34,170), while Li Auto’s SUVs sell for more than 300,000 yuan.

Li Auto monthly delivery volume Sales in October were 40,422 units, far ahead of its peers. The cars currently offered by the company are not powered by pure batteries as they are equipped with fuel tanks to extend the range of the batteries.

Huawei-backed new energy vehicle brand Aito claimed to have delivered 12,700 vehicles last month.

Aion, an electric vehicle brand owned by state-owned GAC Motor, said it sold 41,503 vehicles in October.

BYD It is still a giant in the market to this day. The company said it sold 165,505 pure battery-powered passenger cars in October, with almost the same number of hybrid vehicles.

Tersa Data for October had not yet been released as of Thursday morning. Previously released industry data showed sales in China fell from August to September.
