Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine has been launched in India as the company’s latest vacuum cleaner and home cleaning device. Priced at Rs. 62,900, it is based on the existing Dyson V12 Detect Slim machine but comes with some new accessories that are only available on the new ‘Submarine’ branded device. A notable new accessory is the Submarine Wet Roller Head, which uses a water-based cleaning system to clean wet spills and tough stains. India’s V12 Detect Slim submarine contains a total of six accessories.

Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine Wet Roller Head Attachment
During a product demonstration at the Dyson store in Mumbai, new accessories for the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine were showcased, with a special focus on the Submarine wet roller head. The unit has a tank for clean water, a catchment area for dirty water and a roller for scrubbing and cleaning hard floors with water. The system sprays water onto the floor at a rate of 18 milliliters per minute and is able to scrub and collect residue in the water for proper disposal.
According to Dyson product experts, the Submarine attachment is primarily designed to clean wet spills, and it’s capable of cleaning stains like felt marks on floors and basic wet spills. However, I have found that it can also be used fairly effectively for mopping, as the water and roller effectively scrub the floor as they work. Dyson further claims that the device can clean 95% of basic wet spills in targeted areas in just two passes. The head is quite flexible and easy to move, similar to the Dyson Omni-Glide vacuum cleaner.
The attachment can be opened and removed to clean the drum and 360 ml dirty water collection area and refill the 300 ml water tank with clean water. The head itself is completely blocked to prevent water from entering the vacuum, while the submersible attachment only draws power from the main unit to operate the mechanism. It’s worth noting that the Submarine attachment won’t work with existing Dyson V12 Detect Slim vacuums; you’ll need the specific “Submarine” model.
Other accessories available for Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine
You also get a more powerful laser detection attachment with the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine, which is brighter and more effective at finding dust and particles on your floor than a similar attachment on the original V12 Detect Slim. Beyond that, Dyson also includes a hairline tool (great for cleaning couches and mattresses), as well as other smaller, non-mechanical tools like crevice cleaners, extension tubes, and brush tools.
Of course, you can choose to buy the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute variant, which is slightly less expensive but doesn’t come with the Submarine accessory. In most respects, the V12 series operates similarly no matter which model you buy, with rated suction power of 150 Air Watts, a piezoelectric sensor for particle detection, an LCD screen for battery and cleaning statistics, and three Suction modes with different powers.
