Dyson Zone Air-Purifying Headphones With ANC, Up to 50-Hour Battery Life Launched in India

Dyson Zone headphones were launched in India on Wednesday (October 4) as the first product in the company’s audio portfolio. The new over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones feature metal mesh and removable masks that use microcompressors and filters within the earcups to pump purified air into the wearer’s mouth and nose. Dyson Zone headphones feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and are compatible with the MyDyson app, allowing users to control the device through their mobile phone. They feature 40mm drivers and are said to offer up to 50 hours of playback time with ANC turned on. Dyson Zone headphones were launched in select markets outside India in April this year.

Prices in Dyson Zone are set at Rs. India has 59,900 people. The Zone Absolute+ model with additional filters and multi-port charger is priced at Rs. 64,900. Starting today, they will be available for purchase through the company’s website.

As mentioned earlier, the Dyson Zone headphones feature active noise cancellation (ANC), which reduces background and ambient noise. The audio device comes with 8 ANC microphones and is said to monitor surrounding noise 3,84,000 times per second. They also come with two additional microphones for phone calls and transparency systems. Over-ear wireless headphones feature Bluetooth connectivity. The headphones are powered by 40mm neodymium speaker drivers with 16 ohm impedance.

Dyson Zone headphones have three ANC modes: Isolate, Talk, and Transparent. Isolation mode is the highest level of ANC, providing a rich audio experience. Conversation mode automatically activates when the wearer immerses themselves in the goggles, while Transparency mode enables awareness of the surrounding environment by boosting the audio frequency. The wireless earphones feature an ergonomic design and come with ear pads to ensure comfort during extended use.

In addition to audio capabilities, the latest devices ensure purified airflow to the wearer’s nose and mouth, helping them breathe more comfortably. The Dyson Zone headphones have separate air purifiers in the earcups and are equipped with two motors that deliver two streams of purified air. These motors have four air purification modes – low, medium, high and automatic – designed for different levels of exercise. They come with a removable face mask, and the company claims Dyson’s filtration system can remove urban smog and gases, including nitrogen dioxide, viruses and 99% of ultrafine pollutants.

Dyson Zone headphones work with My Dyson App Available on iOS and Android smartphones, the app will display detailed information about the area’s air quality and notify users when the filters need changing. Users can also set their own listening preferences and control the device through paired apps.

Dyson’s new headphones are said to offer up to 50 hours of playback time in ANC mode. With the air purification and ANC functions enabled, it is said to last up to four hours of continuous use. The headphones offer an auto-on/off sensor that automatically puts the unit into a low-power mode when not in use.
