Digital gaming provider G2A recently launched a marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) related to Web3 games, expanding its offerings by adding gaming NFTs to its broader collection of gaming software.

according to According to a press release issued by Cointelegraph, the new company launched on November 15 to bring exposure to Web3 and NFT games curated by the G2A team. Through this, gamers will have the opportunity to learn about the features offered by blockchain games and see NFTs in games partnered with G2A.

Bartosz Skwarczek, CEO of G2A Capital Group, said in a statement that the company has been paying attention to the development of the blockchain game field since the emergence of the NFT game project Cryptokitties. As it looked, it found that gamers were already involved in the industry, despite some believing that gamers hate cryptocurrencies. He explained:

“It turns out that players are quite familiar with the blockchain game industry, and a large part of them have already played Web3 games and even engaged in NFT transactions from the game.”

Traditional game publishers have been enthusiastic about Web3 games since 2023. In July, the Google Play Store began accepting NFT games with certain restrictions. According to its team, it will allow games that offer NFTs to sell or earn revenue. However, the app publisher has clarified that it does not allow the use of NFTs for gambling within its platform.

In addition to Google Play, video game developer and publisher Epic Games has also shown an open attitude towards Web3 games. On June 22, the Epic Games Store launched Gods Unchained, an NFT trading card game whose gameplay is comparable to popular games such as Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone. The game store also plans to list another blockchain-based game called Illuvium on its game marketplace on November 28.
