at the latest blog post, Google announced that Chrome is getting a desktop redesign in the near future. The update brings refreshed icons, improved legibility, and a new customizable color palette that syncs with open tabs and toolbars. The tech giant said these new themes and color palettes will help users differentiate profiles at a glance. Additionally, Google will add a more comprehensive menu for easy access to Chrome extensions.
The Chrome Web Store has also been redesigned as part of the latest update. Users will see new extensions powered by artificial intelligence. Google also added an Editors’ Picks section.
In addition, Google has also introduced a new search feature to allow users to surf the web more easily. This update will make it easier to find related searches, access the source of a page, or start another search through the Google Search side panel. It can be accessed by tapping the three-dot menu. Users can even pin the Google Search side panel in the toolbar.
Chrome has also received an important security upgrade that allows the browser to automatically flag pages or files as unsafe. Until now, Chrome used to check every website a user visited every 30-60 minutes. However, with the new security update, every webpage will be checked in real time and flagged to the user to protect them from short-lived dangerous websites. Google claims the change will provide 25 percent greater protection against malware and phishing threats compared to previous versions of Safe Browsing.
