Fox Business producer Eleanor Terrett said she is becoming a prime target for social media imitators as she gains more recognition in the cryptocurrency community.
“So, I find myself having to tweet more often and say, ‘Just a reminder, guys, I don’t have private information; I will never contact you,” Tretter told the magazine.
However, she warns that if you’re looking for the next runaway altcoin, she probably won’t find it for you.
“I have no stock trading skills or cryptocurrency trading skills,” Tretter declared.
Unfortunately, she can’t say the same about the imposters who are roaming around: “They’re scamming people, too. There’s a private named Eleanor Terrett. They send people emails and say, ‘Subscribe to my trading strategy.'”
What shocked Tretter even more was that some of these followers had “three, four, five thousand followers.”
While it may have felt good, she was really curious about how these imposters were able to amass so many followers by pretending to be her.
Terrett has amassed over 90,000 followers through his consistent commentary on the Ripple v. SEC lawsuit.
Her fan base swelled so quickly that people were blowing up her DMs for paid sponsorships, just like those fancy influencers.
But for now, she doesn’t quite agree with the idea.
“I’m not trying to sell anything right now; I have an employer, but right now it’s not a good fit for me. Maybe one day, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll change jobs, or I’ll do something else in the cryptocurrency space.”
However, she openly admits that she has been flooded with requests for “collaboration.”
When Tret isn’t busy with her day job as a reporter and producer for Charlie Gasparino at Fox Business or finding the latest cryptocurrency scoops for her followers, she enjoys spending time by Spend time with animals and give back to society.
“I volunteer at an animal shelter on the weekends because I love animals and I think they are better than humans.”
However, a “definite career highlight” for her is the shameless following of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao “CZ.”
Additionally, he liked her and praised her comments on social media. Tretter explained that she was clearing up a misunderstanding for her Twitter (now and said, Eleanor was right!”
However, she still prays for the attention of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.
What makes Twitter famous?
Tretter said she only had a handful of Twitter followers before venturing into the world of cryptocurrencies.
“I really attribute my follower growth to cryptocurrencies because now I have over 90,000 followers, which is exciting to me. I look at it every day and I’m like, ‘This is crazy.’ “
She said it all started when pro-XRP attorney John Deaton tagged Charlie Gasparino in a tweet, just days after the SEC SEC) filed a lawsuit against Ripple nine months ago.
Deaton urged him to look at Ripple v. SEC. Deaton called it “the biggest financial story of the century.”
Tretter explains that it’s her job to really delve into the case, which is why she’s fascinated.
“This is a synopsis of the Ripple case, including how it happened, the timeline and all the key players involved,” she said.

Little did Terrett know that her continued updates on the SEC v. Ripple case would eventually thrust her into the crypto industry spotlight.
“This lawsuit first got me interested in the whole space. Obviously, Ripple is followed by the XRP community, so that’s kind of intertwined,” she explained.
Tretter explains that the increase in her following is simply the result of building trust over time:
“I like to be reliable and trustworthy. So, it’s a cool cycle. I do good things and people follow me. Of course, cryptocurrency has been the catalyst for my following.”
What content can people expect?
Terrett likes to focus on the legal and regulatory aspects of cryptocurrencies and admits she’s not really a “price analyst.”
She declared that she remains wary of any new regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency world:
“So, for me, it’s mostly regulation and policy. So, anything that comes out of Washington that has to do with cryptocurrency, whether it’s the SEC, the CFTC, or bills that are being discussed in Congress, that’s very much from a policy perspective. Set off.”
What do you like on Twitter?
Terrett’s passion for cryptocurrency regulation means she likes to keep tabs on all the big names in the U.S. government to make sure she doesn’t miss any interesting updates on what’s going on:
“So, Tom Emmers, Bill Huizengas, Warren Davidsons, etc. — if they’re going to break news, they’re probably going to put it on Twitter ,Right?”
She also follows the CEOs of all the cryptocurrency exchanges on her Twitter radar, ensuring she doesn’t miss any hot gossip to share with her fans.
predict?
Tretter did not announce any cryptocurrency price predictions. However, you may feel indirect excitement about crypto assets from time to time.
A day after Ripple’s victory over the SEC, she revealed that a cryptocurrency exchange was experiencing some hiccups, possibly due to a frantic rush of people trying to buy XRP.
However, after digging into nearly every cryptocurrency-related court filing this year, she made some predictions for the industry over the next 12 months:
“I think the SEC’s recent losses in cryptocurrency enforcement cases are a little troubling.”
Just like taking small steps can lead to success, Terrett firmly believes that all these small cryptocurrency wins, like Ripple’s recent one, will add up over time to create a path to a more transparent industry .
She specifically pointed to the recent dismissal of the Uniswap class action lawsuit as a big step forward for the industry:
“The judge said you can’t blame the loss on software. In that sense, this is a landmark case. This is basically DeFi, right? It’s software.”
