Honda is recalling more than 2.5 million vehicles due to possible fuel pump failures.
in the published document Honda said on the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s website that affected models include 2018 to 2020 versions of some of its most popular vehicles, including the Accord, Civic and CR-V.
The recall also covers several popular models from Honda’s luxury division Acura, such as the MDX and RDX sport utility vehicles, as well as the TLX and ILX sedans.
Honda said the fuel pump inside the tank can malfunction, causing the engine to stall and increasing the risk of a crash.
As a remedy, dealers will replace the fuel pump module free of charge. Notification letters to owners are expected to be mailed on February 5, 2024.
Earlier this week, Honda More than 100,000 vehicles were recalled separately due to electrical problems.
