The Message Play 8T has been launched in China as the brand’s latest budget phone. The new Honor Play series smartphones are upgraded on the basis of the Honor Play 7T and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. Honor Play 8T is equipped with dual rear cameras, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, and is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging. It comes in three color options and features a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The price of Honor Play 8T is set at The base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 12,500). The high-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 14,700). Currently, the phone is available in three colors: Magic Night Black, Jet Jade Green, and Streaming Silver, and can be purchased through the Honor Mall.

Honor Play 8T Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Play 8T runs MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 and features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) TFT LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, a peak brightness of 850 nits, and 20:09 aspect ratio. The screen has a center-aligned punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie shooter. The new Play series smartphones are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and Mali-G57 GPU. The built-in memory can actually be expanded to an additional 8GB by utilizing unused storage space.
In terms of optics, the Honor Play 8T comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 500,000-pixel primary camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and a 2,000-pixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The rear camera supports 1080-pixel video recording and is rated for 10x zoom. For selfies and video chats, Honor has equipped an 8-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture lens.
Honor Play 8T comes with up to 256GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 1, GPS, AGPS, OTG, Beidou, Glonass, and USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include ambient light sensor, compass, gravity sensor, and proximity light sensor. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The phone comes with dual stereo speakers with high-resolution audio.
Honor Play 8T is equipped with a 6000mAh battery and supports 35W fast charging. It measures 166.7×76.5×8.24mm and weighs 199 grams.
