Honor 90 5G was launched in India by HTech in September. The phone was originally launched in China in early May this year. This phone marks Honor’s re-entry into the Indian market. HTech is said to have started manufacturing and distributing Honor products in India. Honor 90 comes with a 200-megapixel rear main camera. It has zero bloatware and will get two years of Android software updates in the country. In a recent interview, HTech CEO Madhav Sheth discussed some of the company’s ongoing and upcoming initiatives.

He also confirmed that the company will launch more products in the coming months, but he did not elaborate on the specifics. Sheth added that HTech is also in discussions with three contract manufacturers in the country and plans to start local production of Honor smartphones in the first quarter of 2024, between January and March.
As part of the global Honor family, Sheth confirmed that India is considered a key growth market, adding that the company’s 2024 strategy is already in place. He claimed that the company had “big plans” for the Indian market, but did not disclose any details.
HTech’s Honor 90 5G aims to sell 50,000 units during the festive season, both online and offline. Sheth said the company is targeting sales of Rs 100 cr. 600 million during the period.
