How to Send HD Quality Images on WhatsApp Chats: Easy Steps to Follow

WhatsApp is one of the most common instant messaging applications. With WhatsApp, people can share pictures, videos, voice messages, contacts, locations, and documents with friends and acquaintances. However, Meta has applications that compress images, so most users choose other methods to transfer high-quality pictures. To address this, WhatsApp can now share high-definition images via chat, as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a Facebook post.

Header mention In his post, the feature has been rolled out to all users. To ensure a high-definition image is attached, be sure to click on the high-definition icon displayed in the chat thread.

The feature was first tested in the beta channel in June this year. It’s also important to note that HD images will consume more data and storage space than non-HD images.

  2. Click the attachment icon (represented by a paperclip on Android and a ‘+’ on iOS) in the options at the bottom.
