The 2023-2024 NFL season is about to officially start, but first there is still a week of pre-season preparation time for the team to adjust its strategy.
Week three of the preseason has been a tough one. A game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers was suspended after Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden was stretchered off the field after being injured. The team suspended two practices with the Tennessee Titans this week due to the abrupt end of the game. (Bolden was hospitalized overnight, but was released and flew home with his teammates.)
After the preseason is over, there will likely be more big-name players playing minutes this week, and the game will have a slightly wider broadcast window. However, as excitement for the season builds, as in the past few weeks, only a handful of titles will be shown nationwide.
Your best bet is to let your local team choose their affiliate, usually CBS or Fox. But starting next week, it will be easier to find the team you want.

How can I watch NFL games for free even if I’m out of the market?
The outlook for the market this week is a bit tough. But if your home team is playing, your best bet for watching any kind of internet show on the big screen for free is with a good HD antenna. Many of this week’s games will be televised over the broadcast network, meaning watching them will be fairly straightforward. To make sure you’re getting the most reliable signal, be sure to test the antenna in several locations around your home.
Can I stream NFL games online if I don’t have a cable TV subscription?
Yes. There are many options.
Peacock
NBC’s streaming service will enable you to watch multiple games, including tonight’s game and all upcoming Sunday night games. You can get a 7-day free trial, then pay $6 or $12 per month. (Peacock’s free version doesn’t include live sports.)
Disney+
Disney’s Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundles no longer offer free trials, so you’ll have to pay $13 a month for the trio (or $19.99 a month without ads on Hulu). Keep in mind that starting October 1, the prices will go up to $15 and $25.
When Live TV is included in the bundle, the price rises to $70 per month ($76 without ads). In October, the price jumped to $77 for the ad-supported plan and $90 for the ad-free plan.

Can I watch NFL games on Amazon?
Amazon’s only preseason game will air on Aug. 24, when the Colts take on the Eagles.
Amazon once again has exclusive rights to Thursday Night Football, but regular-season exclusivity won’t kick in until mid-September. The first game on Amazon will be Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings on September 14th.
