HP Dragonfly G4 First Impressions: Slim, Yet Powerful

HP has launched the latest laptop in its Dragonfly series in India, named HP Dragonfly G4. We played with the device briefly, and here are our first impressions of the laptop. The HP Dragonfly G4 is aimed at professionals and business users who want a powerful yet stylish machine. Retail price starts from Rs. India sales are 2,20,000 units and it is available in two colours: Slate Blue and Natural Silver. The HP Dragonfly G4 features Intel 13th generation processors and integrated graphics.

The look and feel of this laptop is very premium. The matte case is smooth to the touch and durable to carry. It weighs less than 1kg, but this will vary depending on the configuration you choose. At just 16.4mm thick, it’s HP’s thinnest laptop yet. The chrome Dragonfly branding inside and on the hinges does look stylish and will stand out.

The Dragonfly G4 features a 13.5-inch display, and you can choose from a variety of options including LCD or OLED panels. For example, the WUXGA+ Sure View Reflect display supports up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, and one feature I particularly like about it is that it stops anyone trying to peek from the side from seeing what’s on your display. This is definitely a unique privacy feature.

You get a full-size backlit keyboard on this one, complete with a trackpad with chamfered edges. Button response is also very sensitive.
