HSBC announced on November 8 that it has partnered with Metaco, a technology company owned by Ripple, to integrate its institutional platform Harmonize with HSBC’s new digital asset custody service.
The bank expects to launch new digital asset custody services in 2024 to complement its digital asset issuance platform HSBC Orion and HSBC’s tokenized physical gold product launched on November 1, 2023. Together, these services form a complete digital asset offering for HSBC’s institutional clients, the company said.
Major global banking firm HSBC plans to launch an institutional custody platform for tokenized securities, also known as security tokens.
This is a developing story and more information will be added as it becomes available.
