Huawei Nova 12 Series Specifications Leak; Might Feature Kirin Chipsets, Triple Rear Cameras

The Huawei Nova 11 series was launched in China in April this year, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Now, the Huawei Nova 12 series is said to be in development, said to be the successor to the Nova 11 series. While details of the Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro are yet to be officially announced, their key specifications have surfaced on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Both models feature 120Hz refresh rate displays and are protected by Huawei Kunlun Glass. They are said to be powered by the company’s Kirin chips and may feature 60-megapixel selfie cameras.

This is the same mobile chip that powers the Huawei Mate 60. The regular Huawei Nova 12 may come with the yet-to-be-announced Kirin 830 SoC.

In terms of optics, both Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro are said to come with triple rear cameras. A regular model’s camera setup might include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel shooter. The camera unit of Huawei Nova 12 Pro is expected to include two 50-megapixel sensors and a 12-megapixel sensor.

Both phones are equipped with 60-megapixel front-facing lenses. In addition, both smartphones may offer satellite messaging capabilities, allowing users to send and receive messages via satellite connections.

The Huawei Nova 12 is said to be equipped with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 88W fast charging, while the Pro model is equipped with a 4,900mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.

The Huawei Nova 12 series is likely to succeed the Huawei Nova 11 series, which was launched in China earlier this year – the company has yet to reveal when these phones will be launched. The Huawei Nova 11 starts at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 29,800), while the Huawei Nova 11 Pro starts at CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 41,800).
