iPhone 14 Pro Series, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 12 Discontinued in India After iPhone 15 Series Launch

Apple launched the much-anticipated iPhone 15 series at its “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday, September 12. The Cupertino-based tech giant is accustomed to phasing out older products from its portfolio as new models are launched. This year, immediately after the new series debuted, Apple discontinued some older iPhone models in India to make way for the latest iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The discontinued models include iPhone 12, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the high-end model launched last year with a starting price of Rs. 1,39,900.Now, the phone is no longer available on Apple India website. The removal of the iPhone 14 Pro Max will make way for the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Likewise, iPhone 14 Pro has also been discontinued from the Indian market. The phone was unveiled at last year’s ‘Far Out’ event and was initially priced at Rs. 1,29,900 for the 128GB storage option. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are still available at reduced prices in India.

Apple is also phasing out the iPhone 13 mini (review) to make more space for the new iPhone 15 models. The iPhone 13 mini is the cheapest model in the company’s 2021 iPhone series, with prices starting at Rs. rupee. 69,900 for the 128GB storage model. It was launched as an alternative for people looking for a smaller flagship iPhone. Despite the smaller display, it shares many similarities with the iPhone 13. However, the regular model is currently listed on Apple’s India website.

The iPhone 13 mini’s exit will make the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE (2022) the company’s smaller phones.

Apple also quietly pulled the iPhone 12 from its product line. The oldest model in the series was launched in 2020 with a starting price of Rs. 59,900 for 128GB base storage.

Users will not be able to buy iPhone 12, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max from Apple. However, people can still buy these phones from third-party retailers and e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart. They should also be available in stores while supplies last.
