iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max with 3nm A17 Bionic Chip, Action Button Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max at the “Wonderlust” event held at Apple Park in California on Tuesday. Behind the scenes, the phones are powered by the company’s cutting-edge A17 Bionic chipset. They also feature a programmable action button, similar to the one on the Apple Watch Ultra. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models feature USB Type-C charging ports, unlike their predecessors. The top model comes with a periscope camera setup for improved zoom performance.

The new iPhone 15 Pro price starts at Rs. The base 128GB model is priced at Rs 1,34,900, while customers can buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max at Rs 1,34,900. 1,59,900 (256GB). The phones also come in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options.

Pre-orders will begin on September 15th and the phones will go on sale on September 22nd. Apple said the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be sold in black titanium, blue titanium, natural titanium, and white titanium finishes.

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays respectively, which use Apple’s ceramic shield material and provide peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. Both phones have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. They are powered by Apple’s new 3nm chipset, the A17 Bionic chipset, which offers a 10% performance improvement compared to competitors while being 3x more efficient.

The phones are built with grade 5 titanium and aluminum substructure for increased durability and lightweight. They’ve also provided a new action button to replace the mute switch, and it can be assigned to a bunch of different actions.

The phones feature a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.78 aperture and a coating that reduces lens flare. and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. The iPhone 15 Pro features a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max model features a 12-megapixel periscope camera with an f/2.8 aperture that is said to offer up to 5x optical zoom performance.

The Pro models of the iPhone 15 series feature a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with an aperture of f/1.9, which can be used for clicking selfies and making video calls.

Like the regular models, the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature USB Type-C ports with USB 3.0 speeds. It provides data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps via optional cables. According to Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro will offer up to a full day of use, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to offer even longer battery life. The phones also support the Qi2 standard, which provides faster wireless charging, according to the company.
