
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the top smartphone in the iPhone 15 series, ranking second in DxOMark’s camera test. The phone was launched on September 12 at the Apple Wonderlust event alongside the base iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro. Among the many sub-sections that label this phone, there are several categories including photos, videos, zoom, preview, and bouquet features.
According to DxOMark testAmong them, the 15 Pro Max scored 154 points, ranking second, second only to the Huawei P60 Pro’s 156 points. Photos taken with iPhone 15 Pro Max show good brightness and contrast when viewed on an HDR-capable display.
Testing concluded that the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera also delivers near-accurate exposure, natural rendering of colors and skin tones, and fast and accurate autofocus. The phone is also said to offer video stabilization.
DxOMark says the new zoom feature on flagship iPhone 15 models is generally effective but not consistent “across the range.” It added that the phone failed to mitigate “unwanted artifacts, including flare, ghosting and aliasing” and interference in low-light photos.
The previous iPhone 14 Pro Max ranked firmly in ninth place. The newly launched phone is equipped with a 480,000-pixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope camera with up to 5x optical zoom performance.
The triple rear cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro Max include a 48-megapixel sensor with an OIS wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with a periscope lens. The front camera is equipped with a 12-megapixel TrueDepth sensor.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max lags behind the Huawei P60 Pro, which features a 48-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and another 48-megapixel long sensor with 3.5x optical zoom. focus camera and up to 100x digital zoom. The rear camera unit is equipped with an LED flash and a 13-megapixel front camera sensor.
iPhone 15 Pro Max is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and is equipped with Apple ceramic shielding material. It is powered by the 3nm chipset A17 Pro and has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. The phone claims a battery life of up to 29 hours, similar to the previous iPhone 14 Pro Max. Its price in India starts at Rs. 1,59,900 for the base 256GB storage variant.
