The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the higher-end version of the iPhone 15 series launched at Apple’s “Wonderlust” event last week. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Apple Ceramic Shield material. In a similar price range to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 Ultra in February this year. It comes with a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Both smartphones are the top-tier versions of their respective series and offer up to 1TB of storage.

The recently launched iPhone 15 Pro Max was launched on September 12 and will be available in India from September 22. The smartphone will be available in Black Titanium, Blue Titanium, Natural Titanium, and White Titanium colors. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,59,900 for the 256GB storage model, while the 512GB storage model is priced at Rs 1,79,900. The 1TB storage variant of the smartphone is priced at Rs 1,99,900.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra price starts at Rs. 1,24,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 512GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 1,34,999, while the 1TB storage model is priced at Rs. 1,54,999. The smartphone is available in India in Phantom Black, Cream, Green, Lavender Red, Graphite, Stone Gray and Sky Blue colours.

iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. It is powered by Apple’s new 3nm chipset A17 Pro SoC. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, comes with a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ (3,088 x 1,440 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It comes with a customized version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It runs Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on board.

iPhone 15 Pro Max features grade 5 titanium and aluminum substructure for durability. It also features an action button instead of the iPhone’s silent switch.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 200-megapixel main wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a fourth 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The selfie camera is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes with a quad-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope camera. For selfies, it comes with a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera.

Talking about battery specifications, the recently launched smartphones come with a USB Type-C port this year. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to offer over 24 hours of battery life. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging.

Both phones have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
