According to people familiar with the matter, iQoo 12 may be launched in India in the next few months. The Chinese smartphone maker’s next flagship phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is expected to be launched at the chipmaker’s annual Snapdragon Summit 2023 in the coming days. Details of the phone, such as its specifications, are still under wraps and the company has yet to officially announce any plans to launch the iQoo 11 5G successor in India.

according to Detailed information sharing Revealed by tipster Mukul Sharma (X: @stufflistings) on X (formerly Twitter), the iQoo 12 will be the first smartphone in India to be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm’s top chips are expected to power flagship smartphones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung and other smartphone makers next year.

Sharma said the iQoo 12 is said to be launched in India “in late November or December”. This timeline suggests that iQoo could once again be the first to launch a smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chip – earlier this year, the smartphone maker launched the iQoo 11 in India with the current-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC 5G.

iQoo 11 5G is equipped with a 6.78-inch 2K E6 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The phone launched with Android 13 preloaded. It comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel telephoto/portrait camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Aimed at gaming enthusiasts, the iQoo 11 5G comes with a vapor chamber cooling system that is said to reduce temperatures during long gaming sessions. According to the company, the phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W FlashCharge, which can charge the phone to 50% in 8 minutes.
