Lionel Messi is buying a nearly $10.8 million beachfront mansion in suburban South Florida after a huge contract lured the soccer star to the United States.
According to public records, the acquisition was handled by a company linked to Alfonso Nebot Armisen, who helps manage Messi’s investments. The 10,500-square-foot (975-square-meter) home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has eight bedrooms, a three-car garage and a swimming pool, according to a statement. The property was previously sold in May 2022 for $9 million.
The mansion is about a 15-minute drive from the DRV PNK Stadium (pronounced “Drive Pink”), where Messi’s Inter Miami team currently plays.

Representatives for Inter Miami did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Messi owns other properties in the Miami area, including a $7.3 million full-floor condo in Sunny Isles Beach.
