Roos also clarified that it will not build anything around cryptocurrencies. However, the company will use blockchain technology to improve the efficiency of holding, buying and selling traditional assets.
The idea, Ruth said, is to use digital technology to create a “smoother, cheaper and more transparent” process for traditional assets. The LSE Group executive also added that it will be regulated.
Roos also mentioned that LSE Group will wait until investors are ready and the public blockchain technology is good enough before proceeding with the project. Ruth claimed that if the plan comes to fruition, LSE Group will become the first major global stock exchange to offer investors an end-to-end blockchain-powered ecosystem.
