Maserati reveals first GranCabrio convertible sports car since 2019

The Maserati GranCabrio will be available in Trofeo trim level at launch. It includes a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine.

Maserati’s first GranCabrio convertible since 2019 is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this summer, with a top speed of nearly 200 mph and a possible six-figure price tag, which will also boost the market.

The interior of the four-seat GranCabrio, unveiled online Thursday, features sporty styling, luxury amenities and plenty of digital screens and gauges.

The car also comes standard with “innovative neck warmers” on the front driver and passenger seats to deal with cold temperatures. The company says it works by blowing hot air in three intensities directly from the seat.

First launched in 2009, the new GranCabrio may be the last petrol-powered version of the famous convertible. Maserati plans to exclusively offer electric vehicles in 2028.

However, several automakers have postponed or cut investments as sales of electric vehicles fell short of expectations.
