Nothing, a British technology startup led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, has opened the world’s first dedicated service center in Bengaluru. Advantages of service centers include being able to repair products within two hours compared to authorized repair partners. The dedicated service center is one of many planned by the company, with four more expected to be announced in the coming months. Nothing is also reportedly planning to expand its service centers in India to 35 in the next two years.
Prior to the launch of Nothing Phone 2 in July this year, the company had announced plans to open its first dedicated service center in August. The center has finally opened in Bengaluru and customers can now visit the Nothing exclusive service center located at 100 Feet Road, Indira Nagar, also known as Dr SK Karim Khan Road.
At the company’s first service center, customers will be able to get priority service and support for its Nothing products, The Indian Express reported Report Manu Sharma, vice president and general manager, did not quote any. The UK-based smartphone maker will try to fix products within two hours or provide users with replacement devices for longer repairs. Customers can also reportedly play arcade games like Pac-Man in the store.
According to reports, Nothing will also offer discounts on labor and parts costs at its exclusive service center in Indira Nagar on the second weekend of every month. Similar to Apple’s free classes at its official retail stores, customers will reportedly be able to attend technical workshops in dedicated rooms at the new service center.
The company had revealed in July that it would be opening four new service centers in Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai, following the first one in Bengaluru. Next year, the number of these exclusive service centers will increase by another 15, and the number of centers is expected to increase to 35 by 2025, the report said.
