
Oppo A18 was launched in the UAE on Thursday. The smartphone, which has similar specifications to the Oppo A38 launched earlier this month, is now available in the UAE and India. Oppo A18 is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and a 5,000mAh non-removable battery. The company has launched this budget phone in a single storage variant, available in black and blue colors. However, OPPO has not yet confirmed the price of the phone in the UAE. In other Oppo news, the Chinese manufacturer recently expected to soon offer free battery replacements to its users, starting with the upcoming Oppo A2 Pro.

Oppo A18 is equipped with a 6.56-inch HD+ (1,612 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a peak brightness of 720nits, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89.90%. This dual-SIM-enabled phone runs ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
Oppo A18 is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with Mali G52 MC2 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB EMMC5.1 built-in storage. Storage is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card, and the phone also offers virtual RAM expansion of up to 4GB.
In the camera section, the Oppo A18 has a vertically placed pill-shaped module in the upper left corner, which has an 8-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 5-megapixel front-facing lens housed in a center-aligned waterdrop notch on top of the display.
Oppo has equipped a 5,000mAh battery on the Oppo A18. For security, the phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity. The phone also has a 3.5mm audio jack, weighs 188 grams and measures 163.74mm x 75.03mm x 8.16mm.
