Oppo A38 With MediaTek Helio G70 SoC, 50-Megapixel Rear Camera Launched in India: Price, Specifications

The Oppo A38 was launched in India on Friday, following its quiet debut in the UAE earlier this week. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio chipset and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired SuperVOOC fast charging. It comes with a dual rear camera system, with the front camera housed in a center-aligned waterdrop notch at the top of the display. The phone is available in a single storage option and two color variants in the country. Currently available for pre-order.

The sole 4GB + 128GB variant of the Oppo A38 is available in Luminous Black and Luminous Gold color options and is priced at Rs. 12,999.The machine is now accepting reservations on OPPO official channels website and Flipkart will go on sale from September 13.

The Oppo A38 features a 6.56-inch HD+ (1612×720 pixels) LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 720 nits. The dual Nano SIM-enabled phone comes pre-installed with Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage.

In terms of optics, the Oppo A38’s dual rear camera unit comes with a 50-megapixel AI-powered primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor.

The Oppo A38 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired SuperVOOC fast charging. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and also supports facial recognition. It comes with WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. It weighs 190 grams and measures 163.74mm x 75.03mm x 8.16mm.
