Oppo A78 4G India Launch Confirmed, Company Teases Design Ahead of Debut

The company has confirmed the launch of Oppo A78 4G in India. The Chinese smartphone maker will soon launch a new 4G phone, expanding its A-series products in India. Oppo also revealed the design of the upcoming phone. However, the company is yet to reveal the specifications and features of the Oppo A78 4G in India. It was launched in Indonesia earlier this month and may come with similar specifications in India. The global variant of Oppo A78 4G comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB RAM.

The company has officially comfirmed Oppo A78 4G launched in India via Twitter. However, the exact launch date has not yet been announced. The images shared by the company of the phone in Sea Green color scheme suggest that it will look similar to the phone launched in Indonesia. The phone comes with two circular camera cutouts that house a dual rear camera setup and an LED flash.

The specifications and price of the upcoming Oppo A78 4G have been leaked before, giving enthusiasts an idea of ​​the phone. Oppo A78 4G is said to be priced around Rs. 20,000. It is expected to feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. The smartphone runs ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Additionally, the smartphone is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. It also offers almost expandable RAM up to 16GB and 256GB built-in storage. For optics, the phone is likely to come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies, it is expected to feature an 8-megapixel front camera sensor.

Other leaked details include a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired SuperVOOC fast charging, a fingerprint sensor, and face unlock functionality. However, Oppo is yet to officially confirm any of the leaked specifications ahead of the Oppo A78 4G launch in India.
