Heading into September, Netflix continues to deliver regular new content to keep us engaged through stormy weekends. So we’re bringing back a list of popular TV shows and movies to watch, starting with a live-action adaptation of the hit anime One Piece, which has been well-received by fans and critics alike. So, if you were skeptical about it – considering past Netflix anime adaptations – now would be a good time to step in.Outstanding Works from Other Leading Streamers top 10 list This week, “The Friday Night Project,” starring Babil Khan, is a story of brotherhood, followed by the critically acclaimed coming-of-age comedy “You Were Not Invited to My Bar Mitzvah.”

The ambitious One Piece Monkey D. Luffy (Inaki Godoy), with his rubbery body, is on a mission to travel the great and perilous voyages in search of the legendary treasure One Piece. But before he can set sail, he needs to acquire a ship, and more importantly a ragtag group of comrades he can trust blindfolded. These include the green-haired Three Musketeers Roronoa Zoro (Makenyu), the mysterious red-haired thief Nami (Emily Rudd), the cunning Usopp (Jacob Romero) Gibson) and romantic chef Sanji (Taz Skylar) — all drawn and bound by Luffy’s childlike enthusiasm as the fearsome crew of the Straw Hat Pirates. The 10-episode first season follows the Eastern blue saga, throwing the terrifying, body-split villain Budgie the Clown in the path of our heroes.

Based on the 2021 Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham, Brother tells the story of Mark (Sai Dharam Tej), an arrogant IT professional who puts his needs and time above his family to keep his business leading position. But when he has a mishap and dies, he wakes up in a strange supernatural area, greeted by the God of Time, Titan (Pavan Kalyan), and informs Mark of his death. Immediately regretting his life choices, he begs to be sent back to the real world so that his family can be put on a more stable path before leaving for good. As such, he’s been granted a three-month extension to improve his personal life, on the condition that Time can go on this journey with him – leading to some hilarious encounters between the two.

Stacey Friedman (Sonny Sandler) is a relatively unknown at school and wants to turn things around by throwing a fabulous bar mitzvah party. When her father (Adam Sandler) isn’t keen on bringing Dua Lipa to a party, she turns to her eccentric best friend Lydia (Samantha Lorraine), who she and She has lifelong plans for the future. Everything changes when Andy (Dylan Hoffman), a popular boy, steps in between them, leaving Stacey heartbroken after seeing her longest friend make out with her crush . Distraught and their friendship ruined, she then takes revenge – spreading rumours, bickering, etc., until she realizes the value of what she’s lost due to some silly attraction. “You Wasn’t Invited to My Bar Mitzvah” reunites Sandler with his “Uncut Gems” co-star Idina Menzel and Luis Guzman (“Boogie Nights”).

Growing up with a sibling brings many challenges, from learning about unconditional love to trials of humility, all of which strengthen your family bonds. In Netflix’s “Friday Night Project,” we follow a pair of bickering siblings alike — the introverted Siddhas (Babylon Khan) and his mischievous younger brother (Amuris Jayan) — as they Get invited to the biggest party of their lives. Opportunity comes when their mom (Juhi Chawla) has to travel on the same weekend, leaving her kids alone to do whatever they want. They went to a party and played some heinous games while drinking, which included throwing eggs at strangers, which led to police intervention. Through this encounter, they learn how to support each other, as well as accept their own flaws and strengths, so that they can come out of trouble.

A club-wielding monkey (Jimmy Ouyang) with magical powers sets out on a quest to defeat the village’s 100 demons and cement his place among the people’s cult gods. However, he has a massive ego, which, while it helps him humiliate his enemies, is also the reason he wreaks havoc along the way. The Monkey King’s perilous adventures inspire humble farmer Lin (Julie Wong-Rappaport), who joins the team to aid and challenges him to be the best version of himself as he prepares to take the wrath of the mighty Dragon King and Eliminate evil from the land.

On the surface, Eileen Carter (Ewen Ahmed) is just a substitute teacher who has emigrated to Spain, leading a fairly normal family life. However, when she gets involved in a supermarket robbery, she’s forced to bring out her inner John Wick and beat the criminals with the cunning of an assassin. This draws attention from all sides, from the police wanting to know about her background, to some past enemies returning to hunt her down, leading to an all-out manhunt that threatens to unravel her life. The aptly titled “Who’s Erin Carter” is directed by Jack Lothian, who previously wrote some of the “Shameless” episodes.
