Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi K60 Ultra in China on Monday. The smartphone was launched today alongside the Mi Fold 3, Mi Pad 6 Max, and Mi Band 8 Pro at an offline event. The Redmi K60 Ultra is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display and is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC paired with a MediaTek 690 APU. The smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup dominated by a 50-megapixel sensor. It packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
Redmi K60 Extreme Commemorative Edition: Price, Availability
Launched in China on Monday, the smartphone starts at CNY 2,599 (nearly Rs 30,000) for the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,799 (nearly Rs 32,000). The Redmi K60 Ultra is priced at CNY 2,999 (nearly Rs 34,350) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant, CNY 3,299 (nearly Rs 38,000) for the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant, while the top-end model is priced at 24GB RAM + 1TB storage model 3,599 Chinese Yuan (nearly Rs. 41,200).
Currently, the device is only sold in China. Global sales of the smartphone are yet to be confirmed. In terms of color matching, it offers black, white and green shades.
Redmi K60 Extreme Commemorative Edition: Specifications, Features
The Redmi smartphone features a 6.67-inch (2272 x 1220 pixels) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Redmi K60 Ultra is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC and up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM. Xiaomi also announced that the device will come with Wildboost 2.0 technology, which it claims can cool down the smartphone by 3 degrees Celsius.
In terms of optics, the Redmi K60 Ultra will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel IMX800 Sony sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel portrait camera. For selfies and video calling, the phone will house a 16-megapixel display with a hole-punch at the top of the display.
The Redmi K60 Extreme Commemorative Edition is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. It gets connectivity support for 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. Smartphones don’t have headphone jacks. However, it has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
