Ronaldo teases NFT plans while on a lie detector test

Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo took a lie detector test to answer various questions about football and teased his plans to release more non-fungible token (NFT) series in the future.

The lie detector test video comes as the soccer star partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Binance to release his second collection of NFTs. Released in July, the collection celebrates the player who became the sport’s top scorer.

The video saw fans watch Ronaldo take a lie detector test while answering football-related yes-or-no questions such as “Will Portugal win the World Cup?” and “Will you still be at the highest level in your 40s?”

When asked if he owned an NFT, the athlete said “yes,” and a lie detector test confirmed he was telling the truth. When Ronaldo was asked if he had plans to release more NFTs in the future, the result was the same.

After signing a multi-year partnership with the Binance exchange, Ronaldo released his first NFT series in 2022. The collaboration aims to introduce Web3 to fans around the world through various NFT events. According to the announcement, the NFT issued by Ronaldo will give fans an exclusive opportunity to interact with the football superstar.
