Samsung Galaxy A05 Listed on Geekbench With MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, Android 13: All Details

Samsung will reportedly expand its A-series smartphone lineup with a successor to the Galaxy A04. Samsung’s new phone, dubbed the Galaxy A05, could make its debut soon, as its specifications have been leaked recently. The smartphone has appeared on the Geekbench website with the model number SM-A055F. The listing also reveals some key details about the alleged Galaxy A05. The phone may be powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with up to 4GB RAM. The phone is expected to succeed the Galaxy A04 that was launched in India last year.

The listing also suggests that the phone could be powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with up to 4GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 13 out of the box. The listing also reveals that the Samsung phone will have six cores clocked at 1.80GHz and two cores clocked at 2.00GHz.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy A05 scored 419 points in the single-core test and 1,386 points in the multi-core test on the benchmarking website. Other than that, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal any other details about the phone.

The Galaxy A05 is said to be the successor to the Galaxy A04, which was launched alongside the Galaxy A04e in December last year. The latter comes in two storage configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage.

The Samsung Galaxy A04 features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 12 out of the box. In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A04 features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. There’s also a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calling.
