Samsung has confirmed the launch date of Galaxy A05s in India. The phone, said to be the successor to the Galaxy A04s, has been unveiled in the Philippines alongside the Galaxy A05. The company is yet to confirm the launch of Galaxy A05 in India. However, the Galaxy A05s has been confirmed to launch in India and will be available in three color options. The Indian variant of the phone is likely to have similar specifications to the one launched in the Philippines. It could come with a triple rear camera unit and feature an octa-core chipset.
In India, Samsung Galaxy A05s is confirmed to be launched on October 18 and will be available in black, light green and light purple colors. It is likely that the Indian version of the phone will also be sold with a similar price tag.
According to Samsung’s press release, the Indian version of the Galaxy A05s has been confirmed to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display and will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. The phone is likely to ship with OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13, just like the version launched in the Philippines.
In terms of optics, the triple rear camera unit of the Galaxy A05s India is likely to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and another 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. The front-facing camera can be housed in a center-aligned waterdrop notch at the top of the display. It can use a 13-megapixel sensor.
Launched in the Philippines, this model comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging. For security, the Galaxy A05s comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C connectivity. The phone weighs 194 grams and measures 168.0 mm x 77.8 mm x 8.8 mm. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack.
