The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be officially launched in the first quarter of 2024. The flagship lineup is said to include the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and has been rumored for some time now. Recently, more details about the phone emerged online. They are said to feature a new chip, improved RAM, and an upgraded display compared to the current model. The Galaxy S24 series could feature OLED displays made using M13 material. The Ultra model is also expected to come with 16GB of RAM.
according to a Report Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones will feature new OLED displays made of M13 material, Korean media Chosun reported. These panels will reportedly perform better than the previous M12 OLED panels used in the Galaxy S23 series. It’s likely to be lighter and more energy-efficient than older models.
Samsung is said to have added an M12 OLED display to its new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones. Last year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were also equipped with the same panels, the report said. This year’s iPhone 15 series will also reportedly feature M12 OLED panels, but that will change next year. Apple, Samsung’s main competitor in the market, is expected to supply the M13 OLED panels for the iPhone 16 series.
The report also said that Samsung’s own Exynos processor will return to the Galaxy S series of smartphones next year. The Galaxy S24 series could run the Exynos 2400 chip in select markets, and may use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in some other countries. In 2022, Samsung will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC on the Galaxy S22 phones in some markets. Elsewhere, the phones are powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC for the first time. This year, the South Korean smartphone brand shipped a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on the Galaxy S23 series.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 models will also reportedly have increased memory capacity compared to previous models. The regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are said to come with 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ models come with 8GB. In comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has up to 16GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra has 12GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S23 starts at Rs. The price in India is Rs 74,999, while the initial price of the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra is Rs. 94,999 to 1,34,999 respectively.
