Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and Galaxy Buds FE Launched: Price, Specifications

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ were launched on Wednesday as the latest additions to the company’s “Fan Edition” series of devices. The tablets feature 10.9-inch and 12.4-inch LCD displays (the regular Galaxy Tab S9 series comes with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen), a 90Hz update rate, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Samsung also announced affordable Galaxy Buds FE true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, which come with features like active noise cancellation (ANC) found on the company’s more expensive products.

The new Fan Edition device was launched alongside the new S23 FE. Notably, all these devices will be shipping to India today, prices are likely to be announced today, and will go on sale during the Amazon India Day sale.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and Galaxy Buds FE prices

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE starts at €529 for the base model, which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. Prices start at €699 for the larger Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Both tablets also offer cellular versions capable of connecting to 5G networks. You can buy the tablet in gray, lavender, mint, and silver options.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Buds FE are priced at 109 euros, and the earphones are available in graphite and white.

The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ run One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ feature 10.9-inch and 12.4-inch WQXGA (2,560×1,600 pixels) LCD displays respectively. According to Samsung, both monitors have a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. The former comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Plus model comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The storage space of both models can be expanded through the MicroSD card slot (up to 1TB).

For photos and videos, both the tablets come with an 8-megapixel rear camera setup, with the Plus model also getting another 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus, and a 12-megapixel front camera for video calling Set up camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and wired data transfer. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ are equipped with 8,000mAh and 10,000mAh batteries respectively, supporting 45W charging.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE specifications

The design of the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE TWS earphones is somewhat similar to the previous Galaxy Buds Plus model (with wingtips). However, they come with one feature that the older models lacked – ANC support.

FE brand Galaxy Buds headphones support touch control and support Samsung’s function of automatically switching between devices. This wireless headset has an IPX2 water resistance rating, which means it can withstand minor water splashes.

According to the company, these earphones have up to 6 hours of battery life with ANC enabled, and a total of 21 hours including the charging case. Samsung Galaxy Buds FE supports SBC and AAC audio codecs, which means it will work well with iOS and Android smartphones.
