Sony WF-1000XM5 was launched in India on Wednesday. The headphones are the successor to the Sony WF-1000XM4, originally released in July this year. These truly wireless stereo headphones feature 8.4mm Dynamic Drivers X and are powered by integrated Sony Processor V2 and Sony QN2e active noise cancellation chip. They come in a compact design and come in two colors. They will be available in India soon and are currently available for pre-order.

The newly launched Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones are priced at Rs. Priced at Rs 24,990, it will be available in India from October 18. For customers who pre-order the product before October 15, Sony is offering a special discount at a price of Rs 24,990. 21,990.

Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones use 8.4mm dynamic driver X and are powered by Sony’s integrated processor V2 and QN2e chip, the latter of which is expected to improve noise reduction. The headset supports SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3 audio formats.
These earbuds are equipped with DSEE Extreme upgraded technology and ambient sound mode. Sony claims that the WF-1000XM5 headphones’ bone conduction sensors and deep neural network (DNN) programming improve call quality regardless of background noise or other interference.
Sony WF-1000XM5 supports Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, multi-point connection, head tracking function and 360 Reality Audio. They have an IPX4 rating, and the earbuds also pair with Sony’s Headphones Connect app.
In terms of battery life, the Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones are said to offer a maximum talk time of up to 6 hours and a music playback time of up to 8 hours with ANC enabled. At the same time, with the noise cancellation function turned off, the headset is said to have a talk time of up to 7 hours and a music playback time of up to 12 hours. The case provides up to 24 hours of additional battery life and supports wireless charging and fast charging. Each earbud weighs 5.9 grams. The headphones and case weigh 39 grams and measure approximately 64.6 mm x 40.0 mm x 26.5 mm.
