Fiscal health: Chhattisgarh ranks second after Maharashtra; Bangladesh, Punjab, Kerala are biggest laggards
A report on the fiscal health of 17 major states by India’s finance minister Kaushik Das showed that the top three states based on the first budget estimates for fiscal year 2024 were Maharashtra. Telangana, Telangana and Chhattisgarh are followed by Bengal, Punjab and Kerala. Chief Economist, Deutsche Bank India.
