Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G may launch soon. The clamshell-style foldable phone is said to be expected to follow the book-style foldable Tecno Phantom V Fold, which was released in early April and unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, in February. The Phantom V Fold is Tecno’s first foldable smartphone. Meanwhile, the Phantom V Flip reportedly appeared on a certification website, hinting at its imminent launch. Now, a new report has leaked design renders, color options, and key specifications of the smartphone.
A report by Newzonly cites informant Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) Give way A design render of the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G. According to the images shared, the foldable phone has a ring-shaped rear camera module that appears to enclose the display cover. The dual rear camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash unit.

The upcoming clamshell foldable smartphone is expected to come in three colors: Membrane White, Minimalist Black, and Periwinkle Purple. According to the report, Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to be launched in October this year, and the first teaser may be released in September.

The leaked specs in the report say that the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED Full HD+ (2640 x 1080 pixels) main display and a 1.32-inch AMOLED outer panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC and may be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage. The phone will likely run Android 13 out of the box.
In the camera section, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G will likely include a 64-megapixel primary rear sensor with autofocus and a 13-megapixel sensor at the back. The 32-megapixel front-facing camera sensor is likely housed in a center-aligned punch-hole notch at the top of the display in the leaked images.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G may come with dual batteries of 1,165mAh and 2,735mAh capacity, which is said to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery. An earlier leak suggested that the foldable phone is expected to come with 45W fast charging support.
