The Tecno Pova 5 series was launched on Friday at the World of TECNOlogy event in India. The smartphone series includes Tecno Pova 5 and Tecno Pova 5 Pro and will be launched in India on August 14. The two smartphones share many similar features, including a 6.78-inch display that supports a refreshed Full HD+ resolution at 120Hz. The Tecno Pova 5 and Pova 5 Pro feature a dual-camera rear unit and run the Android 13-based HiOS skin. As previously advertised, the Pro version in the series comes with an Arc connector that includes LED lights.
The Tecno Pova 5 and Pova 5 Pro were only shown at the event today, with the actual launch scheduled for August 14th. The company will announce the price of the phone during the launch. These smartphones will be available for purchase through Amazon.
Tecno Pova 5 is available in three colors: Armor Black, Hurricane Blue, and Amber Gold. The Pova 5 Pro, on the other hand, will debut in Silver Fantasy and Dark Illusion colorways.
Tecno Pova 5 Specifications
The regular version of the Tecno Pova 5 comes with a 6.78-inch full HD+ display that supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with 16GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Tecno Pova 5 features a dual camera unit dominated by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with AI lens and LED flash. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack. The Tecno Pova 5 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
Tecno Pova 5 Specifications
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro is equipped with an ARC interface on the back, which is said to be a first for the company. It has LED lights that can be used for notifications and other alerts. The rear camera unit and display features are similar to the Tecno Pova 5 model.
However, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro is powered by an octa-core Dimensity 6080 SoC paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 CPU. The front camera of the smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor. The smartphone also packs a smaller 5,000mAh battery but supports faster 68W charging.
