Threads Edit Feature, Voice Threads Rolling Out to Users: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg

Threads, Meta’s answer to X (formerly Twitter), launched in early July of this year. Now, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the app will be rolling out edit buttons and voice threads. Unlike the paid editing options on the X, Threads does not charge users for these updates. The new edit button and voice thread functionality has begun rolling out and will be available to all users soon. It’s worth noting that users do need an existing Instagram account to set up a Threads account.

in thread postalZuckerberg confirmed that editing and voice threading features are rolling out to all threads users. We were able to edit the theme multiple times within five minutes. After five minutes, the editing function is no longer available. Users can use it on mobile app and web version.

Even though it’s free, the Edit options in Threads are more restrictive than those on X, and not just in time. Threads also don’t show a history of edited posts, so only an edit icon appears next to the post.

The voice thread feature allows users to publish recorded voice messages as thread posts. It is similar to the voice notes feature on WhatsApp. However, all of your thread followers can hear this.

Recently, a report suggested that Threads may allow users to delete their accounts without deleting their Instagram accounts.Currently, users need Instagram account for creating a Threads account. They can also import their account details from the old app to the new one, but users can also customize the details of their thread profile if they wish. However, if anyone has a verified Instagram username, their username on Threads and their verified badge will remain the same, and they will be able to edit their profile picture and bio.
