Vivo has announced the launch date of Funtouch OS 14 in India. The operating system update is based on Android 14 and will be rolled out to Vivo and iQoo users in India starting at 12 noon on October 7. A few days ago, Vivo announced Funtouch OS 14 based on the Android 14 preview program for X90 Pro users. While the company has yet to reveal updates and changes to Funtouch OS 14, it promises a “smoother experience.” Vivo has not yet announced which smartphones will be eligible to receive the update.

The operating system update will be rolled out to eligible Vivo and iQoo users starting from 12 noon IST. However, the company has neither revealed which smartphones will receive the update nor shared any information about the changes or upgrades.
Responding to a query about the Vivo V27e update rollout, the company said users will automatically receive a notification on their smartphones if an update is available for their phone. More details about the update are expected to be announced on October 7.
In September, OnePlus also released OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 based on Android 14 to supported phones. OnePlus’ operating system update introduces the Trinity Engine, which can handle situations like multitasking, heavy workloads, and extended usage. For security, it adopts Device Security Engine 3.0 based on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
The OxygenOS 14 update will begin rolling out to smartphones in October, with some phones receiving the update in November. The first model to receive the stable OxygenOS 14 update will be the flagship OnePlus 11 5G.
