Vivo V29e to Launch in India on August 28, Flipkart Availability Confirmed

The Vivo V29e will debut in India on August 28. The Chinese smartphone brand took to Twitter on Friday to announce the launch of the new V-series smartphone in India. Vivo V29e has been confirmed to go on sale via Flipkart. The phone is said to feature a 64-megapixel rear camera sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It appears to have a curved display with a center-aligned hole-punch cutout. The Vivo V29e runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series chipset.

The brand has also started sending out invitations to the media for its launch event. The smartphone has been confirmed to go on sale via Flipkart.

Vivo has published renders of the phone on the Weibo platform, revealing its design.The company’s India website also contains microsite That hints at its specs. The Vivo V29e features a curved display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout housing the selfie camera. The phone is said to be the thinnest phone with a 3D curved screen and is priced at Rs 100. Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 price range.

The Vivo V29e comes with a dual rear camera setup dominated by a 64-megapixel primary sensor that supports OIS. For selfies and video chats, it has a 50-megapixel front camera. The handset has been confirmed to come in Art Red and Art Blue color options with a color-changing rear glass panel. However, the color-changing technology will be exclusive to the Art Red version. It is said to be 7.57mm thick and weighs 180.5 grams.

According to previous revelations, the Vivo V29e will offer 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations. It may ship with Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13. The device is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 480 5G SoC or Snapdragon 480+ 5G SoC. The phone is expected to pack a 4,600mAh battery with support for 80W charging.

The Vivo V29e may debut as a sibling of the Vivo V29 Lite 5G that was launched in the Czech Republic this June.
