Wallet crypto bot rolls out on Telegram in Colombia, SA and Kenya

Cryptocurrency trading bot Wallet is launching globally for the first time on Telegram Messenger in several countries in Latin America and Africa.

Open Platform (TOP), an investment platform headquartered in Dubai and affiliated with TOP Labs and Wallet, announced the global launch of the Wallet crypto robot on November 10.

Wallet, a third-party Telegram bot that allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, is now available on the Telegram settings menu for users in Colombia, South Africa, and Kenya.

The Wallet crypto bot has been available to users around the world for a few months, but users need to click on “@Wallet” on Telegram to find the bot. With the latest update, users can see the wallet directly on the menu without having to find a bot or even need to know much about crypto to start using it.

TOP chose to launch the global promotion of the wallet in developing markets to help users access more financial tools and benefit from its large user base in relevant regions.

“Our main focus is on developing markets where a lack of available financial instruments creates organic demand for crypto-assets,” a TOP spokesperson told Cointelegraph. “We know that Telegram has a significant user base in these regions. , so it is natural to begin our global rollout in these jurisdictions,” the representative added.

according to According to the World Population Review, Colombia has a Telegram population of 4.49 million as of 2023. Statista data suggestion As of the third quarter of 2022, about 50% of Internet users in Kenya and South Africa use Telegram.

“Countries such as Nigeria, Kenya and Colombia have very active Telegram user bases and relatively high cryptocurrency adoption rates,” a TOP spokesperson said, adding:

“The regions where we plan to initially launch locally to all users present a huge opportunity to attract a large audience to Wallet. This is just the beginning of our goal of accelerating mass market adoption of TON-based blockchain technology.”

The representative also noted that TOP prefers to launch the wallet in smaller countries before expanding the operational aspects of the product as well as the technical aspects of integration. “This will ensure we can effectively scale up to meet additional demand as the rollout continues,” the spokesperson noted.
