The Indian Space Research Organization released a stunning video on Friday showing the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s rover “Pragyan” rolling down from the lander “Vikram” onto the lunar surface, as observed by the lander’s imaging camera. “…this is how the Chandrayaan-3 lunar rover descended from the lander to the lunar surface,” said the message, along with a video released by the National Space Administration on “X”.
ISRO also released images of the lander taken by the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter High Resolution Camera (OHRC) after its soft landing on the lunar surface.

Launched in 2019, the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter continues to orbit the moon.
On Wednesday, the Vikram lander landed with the belly of the Pragia lunar rover, touching down on the lunar surface “precisely within the area identified for this purpose.”
Hours after touchdown, the 26-kilogram, six-wheeled rover rolled out of the lander’s belly.
ISRO said late on Thursday: “All activities are proceeding as planned. All systems are operating normally. Lander module payloads ILSA, RAMBHA and ChaSTE were turned on today.
