In addition to integrating chatbots into Windows 11, Microsoft has also updated the MS Paint app to support layer and graphics generation, while the built-in screenshot tool has also gained artificial intelligence-based features such as text extraction and editing. Microsoft details the changes Windows 11 is coming soon In a blog post on Tuesday, it was revealed that the Copilot feature is finally coming to the platform. Copilot brings the company’s revamped Bing Chat to Windows 11, allowing you to perform a variety of tasks such as taking screenshots, toggling Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and other system controls, and generating web page snippets.
Copilot will also use generative AI responses to provide text and image responses based on your query. After updating to the latest version of Windows using Copilot, you can start using the feature by pressing the Windows key and C or clicking the Copilot icon on the Windows 11 taskbar.
Microsoft has also updated the MS Paint app with some of the most notable upgrades in nearly four decades. MS Paint now lets you work with multiple layers, just like Adobe Photoshop. According to the company, you can also easily remove the background of any picture using the built-in image editing tools.

The blog post states that “Earn 50 points for your first use of Paint Cocreator. Earn one point for each use” – indicating that the feature will not be free to use after launch.
Snipping Tool – Microsoft’s built-in screenshot and markup tool in Windows 11 – is also getting new artificial intelligence capabilities. After installing the latest Windows 11 update, you will be able to access two new features through the Snipping Tool – text recognition and encrypted text. The former uses optical character recognition (OCR) to detect text, while the latter allows you to black out any text in your screenshot (such as an email address or phone number).
Finally, Microsoft is updating Windows 11 File Explorer to improve the main interface and provide larger thumbnails for favorites or recent files and documents. You can also open RAR and 7-zip files natively, without the need for third-party file compression applications.
According to the company, you can open the Windows 11 Settings app and navigate to Windows Update, then enable the option titled “Windows 11 Settings.” Get the latest updates as soon as possible. Then, you need to wait for the update to be released to your laptop or desktop.
