The Mi Mix Fold 3 will launch in China on August 14. As the launch date draws closer, the Lei Jun-led company has shared multiple teasers on Weibo, revealing new details about the foldable smartphone. Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is confirmed to be equipped with an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED internal screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is claimed to offer up to 1.34 days of battery life on a single charge. According to the company, the Mi Mix Fold 3 is said to withstand up to 5,00,000 folds.

The upcoming foldable phone has been confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED display inside. The panel will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits of peak brightness. The foldable phone is said to feature a new hinge with more flexibility, allowing the phone to open at any angle between 45 degrees and 135 degrees for viewing movements or taking part in video calls. The hinge consists of 198 parts, 14 of which are movable.
The company says the Mi Mix Fold 3 can withstand 500,000 folds and offers TUV Rheinland certification. Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Flip 5 is said to withstand 200,000 folds.
Additionally, the upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 is said to feature Leica-branded quad rear cameras. It’s confirmed to be made of titanium alloy with an ultra-thin flexible glass coating. The foldable phone will also get Corning Gorilla Victus 2 protection.
The foldable phone is said to offer up to 1.34 days of battery life by combining a dual-cell battery system with the Xiaomi Surge chip. However, the battery capacity of the Mi Mix Fold 3 is not yet known.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 launch event is scheduled for August 14 at 7:00 pm local time (4:30 pm Indian Standard Time). The event will also include Lei Jun’s annual speech. The foldable phone is expected to run a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 built-in storage. It could house a 4,800mAh battery with support for 50W or 67W wired fast charging.
Google’s Pixel Fold, Huawei Mate X3 and Samsung’s latest foldable phone could face stiff competition from the Mi Mix Fold 3 if it goes on sale outside of China.
