YouTube is currently testing a new feature that will highlight the Subscribe button whenever the word “Subscribe” appears in a video. The experimental updates cover a wide range of content, so the platform itself appears to have fully automated the process. The video streaming platform was recently said to be testing some other new features. The app may soon allow users to hum a tune while searching for songs, and is reportedly working on a redesigned “skip ads” button.
Found on 9to5Google Report, YouTube’s “Subscribe” button lights up when content creators ask viewers to subscribe to their video channel. Regular YouTube users are familiar with the custom animations many content creators use in their videos when requesting subscriptions.
YouTube is now highlighting creator statements in a new test with a new feature that makes the actual “Subscribe” button light up in response to a request. Recently, YouTube was showing off a new feature to some users that would light up the “Subscribe” button whenever they said the word “Subscribe” in a video. The process appears to be automated by the platform itself.
Recently, reports surfaced that YouTube was testing a feature that would allow users to find the exact song simply by humming a half-remembered tune. Before YouTube makes this search-by-song feature available to more users, a select group of Android users may test it.
The platform is also said to be redesigning the “Skip Ads” button. The new buttons look smaller than the old buttons. According to reports, the word “ads” will no longer be capitalized and the new box should have a slanted border with smaller letters.
