And Just Like That… Season 3 Renewed at Max Ahead of Season 2 Finale

“That’s it…” is the sequel to the hit HBO series “Sex and the City,” which has been renewed for a third season by American streaming service Max (formerly known as HBO Max). The news comes ahead of the show’s second-season finale, which airs Thursday on Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service.

Sarah Aubrey, Max’s head of original content, claimed in a statement that since the show’s second season launched, “This Is It…” has become the No. 1 original series on its platform.

“As Thursday’s highly-anticipated season finale kicks off, we salute Michael Patrick King and his fantastic team of writers, producers, cast and crew as they continue to deliver a dynamic 25 years later. We were drawn to the friendship and compelling stories. We can’t wait for viewers to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers,” said Aubrey.

The show’s executive producer, Michael Patrick King, who directed the original series and its film adaptation, said he’s excited to be working on a third season. “We’re excited to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe, telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and desirable characters played by these wonderful actors. And that’s it…Third Season is coming,” he added.

And that’s it… Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis reunite to reprise their roles from Darren Star’s Sex and the City. Based on the 1996 novel of the same name by author Candace Bushnell, the show aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004.

While the original series showed women’s journeys out of the complex realities of life and friendships in their 30s, the revival follows the complex realities of life and friendships in their 50s.

The show’s cast also includes Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ali Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Canton, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Neil Cunningham, Cathy Ong, Alex Swinton and John Corbett.

That’s it… executive producers include Parker, Davis, Nixon, John Melfi, Julie Rotenberg and Alisa Zuritzky.
