As the name suggests, the smart wearable health monitoring device takes the form of a ring that users wear to track a range of health parameters. According to the company, the device is designed to be lightweight and suitable for prolonged use. The ring was first teased following reports online that a Samsung smart ring device could be released by the South Korean tech group in the future.

According to the company, you can use the Boat Smart Ring to browse short video apps by swiping across the device. However, the company has not yet provided a list of compatible apps or which actions correspond to certain functions.

You can also use gestures to control music playback, such as pausing, resuming, and changing tracks. These gestures can also be used to click linked photos on your smartphone, so you can use the Ring as a remote to take group images and use the main camera to set the phone at a distance for better image quality.

According to the company, the ship’s smart ring can also be used to activate an SOS call in case of an emergency. The device is made of ceramic and metal materials. It’s water-resistant to 5ATM and has a depth of up to 50 meters. Boat claims the device offers seven days of battery backup, and the ring can be charged using the included charger.
